On February 2, the final report of the Telangana caste enumeration will be released. In this review meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Damodara Rajanarsimha, Uttam Kumar Reddy, Seethakka, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, government advisors K. Keshav Rao, former minister Jana Reddy, Chief Secretary Shantikumari, and senior officials from various departments participated. The Chief Minister congratulated the officials and employees who participated in the survey. He mentioned that the caste enumeration results will help in the social empowerment of BC, SC, ST, minority, and weaker sections, as well as in overall development. He further emphasized that this survey is proof of the government's commitment to fulfilling its promise made during the Assembly elections. More than one lakh employees, including enumerators, supervisors, and data entry operators, contributed to the successful completion of this survey. The survey covered nearly 1.16 crore families in the state. Survey teams collected data from over 96% of the families, and data entry has also been completed. However, enumerators reported that some families refused to provide their details, some houses were locked, and some families were unavailable. This survey will provide a clear picture of the economic and social conditions of different sections of society.
