Efforts are continuing to rescue eight people trapped in the SLBC tunnel in Nagarkurnool, Telangana. Even after 16 days, no success has been achieved. Today, on Sunday, the rescue team has found a dead body inside the tunnel. The body is stuck in the machine, which is being cut to remove the body. After search dogs, it has now been decided to deploy robots in this rescue operation.

The government has decided to use robots to rescue the workers (dead or alive). These eight people have been trapped since a part of the tunnel collapsed on February 22. Specially trained cadaver dogs of Kerala Police have also been involved in the rescue operation. These cadaver dogs are specially trained to locate missing people and dead bodies.

Rescue operation is going on since 22 February.

On the other hand, NDRF, Army, and other agencies are engaged in rescue work on a war footing. Work is ongoing to make a path with TBM. The rescue operation is continuing for the eight workers trapped inside after the roof of the tunnel collapsed on February 22. All the efforts made so far to take these people out have proved unsuccessful. Now it remains to be seen what wonders the robot can do.

Robots will be deployed in the tunnel. Telangana Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy visited the tunnel site yesterday. During this, he reviewed the ongoing rescue operation with officials of different organizations. He directed the officials to take immediate steps to deploy robots in the tunnel for rescue operations. The minister said that the government will use the services of robot experts. For this, the government will spend about Rs 4 crore.
