IPL 2024 schedule will come after the announcement of general election dates

The IPL Governing Council has informed when it is going to announce the schedule of IPL 2024. That is, answers to all such questions will be found on which date, at which venue, and at what time the matches will start. According to the information received, the top officials of IPL will put their seal on the answers to all such questions only after the Election Commission announces the dates of the general elections to be held in the country next year.

Will IPL 2024 be held in India or outside?

In simple words, until the dates of the general elections are announced, the date, time, and venue of the IPL 2024 matches will not be finalized. However, in the meantime, one question is whether the IPL will be held in India itself. Security will be a big issue regarding the general elections. So whether the IPL will be held in India or outside the country, the IPL Governing Council will decide this only after the date sheet of the general elections is ready. This seems to indicate that if needed, the IPL can be organized outside the country as well.

Although there is nothing official about when IPL 2024 will start, there is a report that this T20 league of BCCI played between 10 teams will start from the third week of March and will run till the third week of May.
